Publications

At Capitol, we are experts in typesetting and typography; we design covers and layout long documents to strict design standards. We often supplement the graphics dept. in an association by doing the work they don't have the staff to do. Sometimes we do the layout to an existing design of the long books and journals; sometimes we do all the covers requiring heavy design; other times we handle all the color magazines and catalogs.

Our books and journals are layed out meticulously; we handle technical or medical subject matter, complicated tables, formulas, footnotes, and we can generate an index for any document. We can also provide editing services and proofread the text for typos, grammar, and usage.

In magazine production we utilize photographs, original illustrations, stock art and our own in-house photo library. We are creative in using graphic elements to increase the readability and shine of an issue while on a small budget. We brainstorm to provide a variety of illustration ideas, especially for covers and high-visibility articles. Capitol also specializes in creating impressive catalogs, for advertising publications, products or clothing.
